Me & Mr. Pink

So new movie of the week....Reservoir Dogs. Yeah yeah I know not a new movie at all but it was new for me, I'd never seen it.
I decided thought if I had to choose a character to be I'd be Mr. Pink.
For a few reasons...
1. I like the color pink. I wear it a lot and my nails are usually pink (cuz I only own 1 bottle of nail polish, lame I know but I like OPI - that stuffs like $7 a bottle & I'm cheap)
2. He's the smartest out of all the guys who actually did the job being the first to realize it was a set up and all.
3. Because had I been in on the job I could so see myself avoiding wounds and making off with the diamonds by hiding under the stairs. I'm flight what can I say?!

Had I not been Mr. Pink I would have been Joe, the brains of the operation. He was the man making all the money sitting behind a desk.

A few of my favorite quotes from the movie...

Mr. White: Shit....you shoot me in a dream you better wake up and apologize.

Joe: You don't need proof when you have instinct

Mr. Pink: You buddy are stuck in a situation YOU created, so if you wanna throw bad looks somewhere throw em at a mirror.

Mr. Blonde: You gonna bark all day, little doggy, or are you gonna bite?

A few people told me I would never be able to hear Stuck in the middle with you again the same & I'm pretty sure that's true.

Lebron...do we like??

These are the Nike Zoom Lebron Soldier 3's in Baltic Blue.
I'm not sure if I like them or not. I mean I do like them for guys 100%...not sure about for the ladies, unless they were on court I just am not sure yet. Think I'd actually have to see them on foot first. They are very reminiscent of the Jordan 11's...
which I already have a pair of-except all black with red. I didn't really end up loving them too much. They were a gift & I'm pretty sure they were bootleg.
Anyways how about you...like? love? hate?

Shankapottamus!

I love this commercial!

oh....

I know I haven't even been close to keeping up with the 'writing everyday' thing...but just a real quickie...

Lately I have been very happy.
Can't remember the last time I was this happy.
Don't think I've ever smiled this much before happy.
:o)

**don't worry...someday I will elaborate but I'm also very nervous so as to not jinx anything I will keep it to myself**

Biggest Loser Weigh in #2

Just an update...
Weighed in wednesday at 132.6
Which means I lost 3.4 lbs.
Doing nothing.
Seriously.
The closest thing to working out I did this weeked was drink my Cherry Vodka & Coke, Flip Cup, & Beer Pong. Sorry, all of my friends just graduated from college & they all had their parties this weekend. I will say, probably the best weekend I've had in town since I've moved back to town.
Back to biggest loser, it comes down to this...
That's 2.5% of my weight.
That means if you weighed 200 lbs you would have to lose over 5lbs to have beaten me this week.
Which really it is okay if they beat me this week because since todays my last day & I don't have another job yet I will be a very very poor college student that already hates to spend money on food so will probably just opt to starve rather than spend a precious dollar on a double cheeseburger. Also I will probably live at the gym since I will not be able to afford to do anything else.
That is until I win the biggest loser.
:)

Valentines day was when?!

Wow...I'm more of a slacker than I thought. There is a TON of stuff I haven't posted including Valentines Day stuff! What?! Yeah...I know, it was forever ago. Who even cares at this point right? Well I wanted to put it up anyways because I had such a good time.

For the big VDay my little cousin Kirstyn was my date. I'm pretty sure it had something to do with me being completely single (like not even talking to any guys) and all the ones she knew were tools. So I took her out for Sushi & she was my Sushi valentine.
I got her seaweed salad because she said it was great. I'm not really a fan.

When they brought out the huge list we realized neither of us had ever actually ordered sushi.

So I just got what Heather got last time I came with her.

Kirstyn decided to disect her food and found out there were fish eggs in it. It's kinda gross considering I'm pretty sure she didn't wash her hands after the Bearpaw incident.

What's the Bearpaw incident you ask? Well before going to eat we went to the mall and at one point ducked into this little cheap shoe store. It was obvious none of the shoes were brand name, this was not Marshalls where you get brand name for less. I mean I didn't even have to look at the price they had cheap written all over them. Not that I have anything against cheap, I love cheap, I'm a poor college student , cheap is my best friend. But I will never be able to figure out why when Kirstyn saw a pear of Bearpaws (kind of like Uggs) ligit thought the store was selling them. As soon as she saw them she picked them up, stuck her hand in one & said 'OMG they sell Bearpaws here' to which the girl behind her replied 'Um...those are mine'.

Yes those are hers...like she's had her sweaty ass feet in them all day and my little cuz just stuck her hand in one & then proceeded to disect her raw fish.

Yummy.
:o)

Puerto Rico: Last night- Casino

The last night I was in Puerto Rico was pretty awesome. I was supposed to hang out with Chris since he lives what a 4 hour plane ride away buuutt....whatever he had to do before us possibly going out was taking too long so I left early to grab a bite to eat & wait for his call.
Across the street from my hotel was some Taco Maker/can't remember what it's called but had semi healthy food. The semi healthy food spot had a really good caesar salad wrap & after grabbing one of those I went next door to Starbucks (yes Starbucks right across the street, I wish I had Starbucks right across the street all the time) grabbed my usual & sat outside for probably 2 hours. Sounds a little intense but it wasn't bad. I ate a bit but since the weather is so nice (even though it was 9:30 at night) I ended up throwing most of it away. I don't eat much in the summer. I called Foreign Friend (cuz we were still friends at the time) & talked for a few about how much I love Puerto Rico & didn't want to come home. After getting off the phone the man the next table over who had been eavesdropping decided to strike up a conversation. We probably talked for about an hour about the island, the difference between the people from different areas, politics, all kinds of stuff. When Starbucks closed he gave me his card, he's an astrologer, I was supposed to email him with my Bday time & stuff so he could do the whole astrologer thing but I'm not sure what I did with the card.

Anyways since I hadn't gotten a call I headed back to the hotel to use my gambling coupons in the Casino. The casino in our hotel on a Monday night was perfect. It's not too big so you don't get overwhelmed and it wasn't really packed. While losing a bit at blackjack I met a kid from Boston named Senan. Since blackjack wasn't doing us any good he took me over and taught me how to play craps. Not that I really remember. I just copied him except when he doubled down I didn't because I'm too much of a chicken. He lost money...I ended up walking out $100 richer. Which just adds to my winning streak because I have never officially lost at a casino. True Story.

After I quit while I was ahead we went for a walk down the side of San Juan I hadn't ventured onto yet and being that it was about 130am nothing was open except casinos so we decided to walk the beach back to where we were staying. This is when I learned that all the people saying the beaches in PR are rocky weren't kidding. Being that I was wearing heals I walked back barefoot and that kind of sucked. Then wouldn't u know it, the only time it really rained while I was there was right in that moment.

So to sum things up...last night in PR=Sore feet & Drenched/1 Benjamin in my pocket...kind of evens itself out.

Puerto Rico: Bioluminecent Bay

During my stay in Puerto Rico my mother and I went on a trip to Vieques to see the Bioluminescent Bay. Probably one of the coolest natural thing I've seen.

Basically the Bioluminescent Bay is cool because it is filled with these half-animal, half-plant organisms that emit a flash of green light when agitated at night. Basically you move the water, they light up. Technically they are called bioluminescent dinoflagelletes and there are about 720,000 of them in the bay we went to. I hate that I couldn't take any pictures because it has to be really dark so you can see them well and it's hard to really get them on camera. Non of my attempts worked. Here's one from a professional.

It looks more blue in the picture but I remember them being green. The trip we went on lets you get in the water and swim with them & most places don't let you. My favorite part was dipping my hands in & out of the water because you could see each little bead of light dripping down your arm. Seriously if you ever get the chance check it out, but if it's something you're definitely planning on doing check out a moon calendar first because they don't go out for about a week coming up to a full moon.

The biggest loser

So just a quick update on my latest endeavors.

Monday I put in my 2 weeks at my job. I am going to be pursuing school full time...really trying to lock it up and get it done...starting with summer classes.

I have also...and now many of you aren't going to believe this...signed up for the biggest loser at my local gym.

No I do not think I'm fat. You win money and that's really all the motivation I need.

When I saw the ad the man next to me said he didn't think I could lose enough weight to win & I agreed until I found out they were doing it by percentage which makes it fair and gives me a chance. Also in the 2 years I dated dbag Dave I gained approx. 20 pounds from eating pizza, wings, and Micky-D's everyday. I figure it won't hurt to lose a little of that and make a few bucks while I'm at it! :)

So anyways it started today and in preparation I ate as much as I possibly could so I could weigh as much as possible. Margaux made me pulled pork. It was amazing and I gained approx. a pound and a half just from eating that.

I weighed in at 136 and will keep you posted. :)

Just fire her ass...

Just got done watching The Hills...I know it's ridiculous but seriously if it was real & I was Lauren as soon as I walked out of the meeting I would have been like 'your fired'. That's it. No I'm sorrys, no crying like there will be on next weeks episode, just your fired get out, thanks for making me look like an ass.

If I were to get some kicks just for cinco de mayo...

It would definitely be these...

I love me some Nike vandal lows and if it wasn't for the fact that I'm not a huge fan of the red & green combo (too christmas-y) I might think of gettin myself a pair.

Nike SB Ms. Pacman..

I need these in my life.

For many of you they are probably too over the top but for me...perfect. They are the nike sb ms. packmans & would look perfect in my closet and on my feet.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine & others

Saturday night I saw X-Men Origins: Wolverine and LOVED it. The action scenes were good and not overdone as they tend to do sometimes in movies like that.

Agent Zero was awesome in the begining. I loved his first shooting scene but after that there wasn't anything too incredibly special about him.

Deadpool was on track to be my favorite/school-girl crush of the film but they screwed that all up at the end. No, I do not like the way they went with Deadpool. From what I've heard this is waayyy against the comics. He's not supposed to die and I was really hoping they would have him break the 4th wall a.k.a talk to the audience, like he does in the comics. Apparently they had a scene after the credits in the first version where they show his hand grabbing his head & the head turning toward the audience saying "shhh...", this would have made my day but I guess instead they used one with Wolverine in it. I didn't see it, I never stay that long.

Gambit, who I guess has been wanted for years by fanboys, is probably my favorite from this movie. No I can't pick Wolverine, everybody loves Wolverine. I heard through the grapevine that a some people thought they over did it with his powers/mutation. I don't know what they say of him in the comics and I don't really care-in the movie Gambit was the man.

I also thought it was pretty cool how they did the White Queen's diamond skin. She didn't play much of a part in the movie but effect wise the skin was cool as hell.

My Aunt who is more of a "Wolverine" fan then an actual X-men fan, if you know what I mean (she didn't exactly hate the naked waterfall jump), was appalled to hear I hadn't really seen the other 3, so when we got home on Sunday we had an X-Men marathon to catch me up.

#1 was wonderful- I love Iceman...even though he doesn't really do anything in the first one. Yeah he'd be my little school girl crush through all 3 but in #2 I kinda like nightcrawler better.

Yes, I know weird huh?, nightcrawler over Iceman no way!...Yes way...I'm such a personality person sometimes & I love his!

But in the 3rd I return to Iceman cuz I'm not sure why but they don't include nightcrawler at all...Laaaaamme!

Anywhoodles...the 3rd didn't quite do it for me like the others did, including the new one...and I can see why comic fans may not like it at all.
To finish it off I would just like to say this...Marvel vs. DC...Marvel all the way!! X-Men is way cooler than Superman! I do like Batmen but X-men...still cooler.
What do you think...Marvel or DC??
Also...Who's your favorite of your favorite? or your favorite from each?
:)

The first blog I subscribed to...

belongs to this beautiful couple
Their blog is called Rockstar Diaries and I love reading about their little adventures. It's refreshing to read about a couple that are obviously still so in love. They haven't been married long but with marriage these days you never know. Their blog starts from when they got married and I've read just about every post. They were kind of my inspiration.

If it's going to be called a perfect mess then it needs to be a PERFECT mess...

Sorry I haven't posted for what 2 weeks now...I've been thinking of reformatting in a way. For about a month I've been wanting to set a goal for myself to post something everyday. Not just to try something for myself but maybe to make things a bit more consist ant. To make it easier to come up with something to post and to make sure it doesn't turn into a lame 'today I went to school' diary I've designated different topics to different days...

SUNDAY
Blogs, Vlogs, YouTube...basically anything on the Internet that is put out by users like us posting our opinions or just being creative.

MONDAY
T.V. and Movies...pretty self explanatory but will probably lead to include celebrity gossip that grabs my attention

TUESDAY
Magazines and Books...just things that I'm reading, opinions and recommendations

WEDNESDAY
Shoes and Clothes...I'm not huge into fashion but I love shoes and am a bit of sneakerhead.

THURSDAY
Quotes, Jokes, Art...I've always loved quotes and jokes that lift the spirits or have a good point to them, I guess I paired it with art because...well I'm not sure, it just fit better there than anywhere else to me.

FRIDAY
Music...and anything that has to do with music such as music videos and what not.

SATURDAY
Sports, News, and...Food...Obviously it will be anything that catches my eye in sports and news and food didn't really fit anywhere else but c'mon, who doesn't love food?!

Well there it is...that's how I'm going to be posting starting next week. I will still be posting what I've been up to as that was kind of the point of starting this. I'm actually a bit behind in those... my cousin Jill was in the Wizard of Oz, my battle buddy came to visit, and I've wanted to do one on guys in what I call suck-up mode in reference to the million presents David DuMass (pronounced Doo-maas lol) has sent me. I may try out the web cam on my computer for that one.

well here's one that won't be making to our class reunion...

I went to school with this girl...Bonnie Rubin...Heather found it. Heather always finds the good stuff.

Plainville police said they have busted up a ring of what they can only describe as very organized crime.
Police said they were first alerted of the crime ring after Jeffrey Williams, 38, tried to make a quick getaway from a Lowe's parking lot. They said his accomplice, Bonnie Rubin, 21, had tried to pass off a $4,000 forged check, but the cashier had become suspicious.
Police said the duo was in such a hurry to get away that Williams drove into three cars in the attempt.
"In this case, it was a parking lot motor-vehicle accident where an individual was trying to get away that actually brought it to the forefront, and we were able to develop all this information," Sgt. Charles Smedick said.
Police said the pair's plan was to buy high-cost appliances at stores like Home Depot and Lowe's with fake checks and fake IDs, then sell them for cash.
"Definitely organized to the point they have different people making checks, different people making IDs, people taking orders and people carrying out the orders," Smedick said.
When police arrested the two and searched their truck, they said they found at least 40 kinds of fake IDs and dozens of fake checks -- with the names of real banks of them.
Police said they know at least 10 to 12 people are involved
"They're excellent forgeries," Smedick said. "Most of the time they were cashed in the store on the spot."
Police said the forged check was found in the possession of the pair. They said the two were arrested them.
The pair had fraudulently cashed checks and taken merchandise worth well over $1 million, police said. They said they were making 50 cents on the dollar.
Williams and Rubin have been charged with one count of racketeering and at least 100 counts of forgery.
Police said they're working with federal agencies to find the others involved and close the ring, which they believe is based in the Hartford area.

If I didn't already love the name part 2...

Today I thought of another name....actually I stole it from a book title...
'A Perfect Mess'
Yes...if I didn't think the name of my blog was already genius enough that would be another contender. So I've decided to incorporate my two wannabe titles and use them as my little 'subtitle' or whatever you want to call that little blurb under the actual name. So...if you think something is different (kind of like when someone gets a haircut but you're not sure) it's because it is. You're not going crazy.
Well, not this time at least.

A little change?

I'm a closet fan of astrology and the likes. Not so much horoscopes, because well horoscopes from the newspapers never seem to be too on. I do however, like to read books about astrology.
But sometimes my horoscope ( I get it from yahoo in my email everyday at 1pm) is spot on.
Like today...
You are in the mood for a little change -- nothing drastic, but just enough to show yourself that things don't always have to stay the same. It's a good time to explore new possibilities.
I don't know though.
Honestly I'm thinking a bit drastic.

If I didn't already love the name of my blog...

I would change it to Frankie Says...
as in Frankie Goes to Hollywood.
Like Frankie says Relax.
I have a Frankie says Relax shirt,
but only because it has my name on it.
Maybe I'll show you someday.

My Irish is showing...

A couple weekends ago I hit up the annual St. Patty's day road race. My dad & my cousin Emily ran the 10k and my little brother ran the kids race.
Later that night Margaux made dinner. It was some weird pineapple porkchop stuff that was so orange it looked radioactive. For her sake I'm not showing it to you here. It was delish though. I made cheesecake swirl brownies but she made me make them into brownie bites which let me tell you were a little bit of a pain in the ass but...
I used my INSANE artistic skills to make one into a shamrock. Can you find it in the above image? Margaux didn't think I could do it.
I really wanted to make them all like that but I'm too impatient and wanted to eat.
P.S. Don't you love the shirt/ tank combo...very Irish combination.

Frankie's got a gun...

Just Kidding!
My best and I went with a couple of her friends to the shooting range Saturday. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The range officer said we did very good for first timers. Although the the first thing we did when we got there was watch a safety video that specifically said 'you will not make any friends here if you shoot the floor or the ceiling' and what's the first thing Margaux does?? Shoot the ceiling. Yup, but I'm pretty sure our cool range officer didn't see that.
This is my target.
I would just like to emphasize this little area right here...
Yes I'm very proud of those few! :)

I also forgot...

to tell you I got my ears pierced again...

My favorites from NY with JJ&J...

I completely forgot...

to post about my trip to Six Flags Great Escape lodge in NY..how could I do that when we had such an awesome time?!?!
If you don't know what it is the main attraction at the Great Escape Lodge is an indoor water park.
We spent most of the weekend floating around the lazy river.
We rented a digital waterproof camera and took some cool under water pictures.

We went to a place down the road and played the coolest game of lazer tag ever!

There were also bumper cars, rock climbing, and go-karts which is stuff we usually don't get to do in the middle of winter.
The kids loved it but funny thing is, with all there was to do, they wanted to spend a significant amount of time in the fitness room. I passed the time with them in there by doing about a million of these...

Sorry you kind of have to turn your head because I haven't figured out how to flip videos yet :(
Anyways all in all the weekend was a bigger success than I thought it would be. The kids were great and didn't complain once.
I had a fabulous time!

The day I fell in love with reggaeton...

Margaux laughed when I told her this was the first reggaeton song I ever heard. She had never heard anything like it.

My friend Sandro introduced me to it in maybe 2001. We didn't call it reggaeton we called it Puerto Rican rap and I loved it since the first time it hit my ears. When I was home alone I used to blast it while I did the dishes (cuz for some reason we had never ending dishes at 132). Of course reggaeton sounds nothing like this now, which is why Margaux was rolling when I played this for her.
I think my favorite thing about reggaeton is as soon as you put it on you have to smile, it's like an automatic party even if you're alone.

Puerto Rico #1 The Marriott in San Juan

During the week I was in Puerto Rico we stayed in the Marriott in San Juan. It was a very nice hotel and I would recommend it to anyone who can afford it. It's basically an all inclusive resort right on the beach.
When you first walk in there is a large open bar and there is music almost every night. Usually it is live salsa but one night, I believe Thursdays there is a DJ who plays 80's & 90's music. It's also ladies night and girls can get most drinks for $1. To the right of the bar is a small casino, basically an arcade version of a casino. It gets pretty busy and since it's small it gets crowded but if you go on a monday night (like I did) or during the day it's busy enough without being crazy.
I believe the only thing there would have been to complain about (not that I ever complain about anything) is that after house cleaning came they'd forget to leave things like coffee refills and enough towels. But honestly after I saw Puerto Rico's version of a cheap hotel, which makes the 'pay by the hour' hotels in New York look like the Ritz, I almost don't feel right even listing a complaint. Yes, Margaux and I decided to employ some friends in finding us a really cheap hotel in Puerto Rico so that we could come again because well, we don't have Marriott kind of money. They decided to show me what a really cheap hotel looks like & let me tell you it was quite the experience, I mean they don't even try to put on a show.
When you walk in first thing that stands out to me is the fact that the floors and walls are completely covered in white tiles. No rugs, no paint, no wallpaper-just tile & I'm assuming this is for disinfecting purposes. It's hands down the brightest room I've ever walked into. When you turn the corner the bed is there in all it's glory- ceiling mirror showing off it's comforterless reflection. The questionable looking sheet is holding on for dear life like strappy sandals on a fat girl, I don't even think the 2 pillows had pillow cases and on the corner of the bed was a small towel with a tiny bar of soap.
'So what do u think?'
'Um...I think we'll need a comforter'
On the way out I noticed an interesting little door with a small sliding lock on it. Apparently, as I was told, if someone were to come here and use this room for what is obviously intended for one wouldn't even have to put their clothes on to have food delivered.
Wonderful...exactly what we were looking for.
Kidding!

One of the biggest reasons I love Easter...

Now I know I'm supposed to love easter because that's when Jesus died for us & what not but I'm going to be brutally honest...I really love it because of these...
If you know me you know I love anything Reese's (except for the new crunch bar, you can keep those). One year my best gave me an easter basket full of any & everything she could find that was reeses & edible. I loved it & came in a really cool basket too :)...anyways I know what you're thinking, 'they're just peanut butter cups how could that possibly be more important than Jesus dieing for you?!' Well my friends that's where you're wrong. It is not just a peanut butter cup...it is the best peanut butter cup- the peanut butter egg. The egg shape is what makes all the difference. On a regular peanut butter cup the chocolate edges are thicker and the only part that is really good is the center. On these egg shaped ones the chocolate is even all around AND it has more peanut butter in the middle. It's heaven my friends....heaven. I saw them out for the first time 2 weeks ago, bought them and proceeded to lounge on Margaux's couch and eat them all in about an hour, yes I'm a fatty but it was worth it.

One of my favorite Irish blessings...

May those who love us love us.
And those that don't love us,
May God turn their hearts.
And if He doesn't turn their hearts,
May he turn their ankles,
So we'll know them by their limping.
:o)

Because I'm really Irish u you know...

'There are only two types of people in the world...
those who are Irish and those who wish they were"
:o)
Happy St. Patricks Day!

Horoscope

My Horoscope Today
Your emotions are all over the place when you think about your next big move,
which could be anything from marriage to taking a new job.
It's a good time to get yourself pulled together and unified.

Wow...spot on...

Looks like I'll be all over youtube and hulu tonight...

Looking for last nights game. Of course...of course I would miss an amazing 6 OT game cuz where am I? I'm on planet 'March-Madness-hasn't-started-yet' when apparently it has. Honestly I think it just clicked for me that we are actually in March. I mean you would think changing the calendar and my dad asking if I would be around for the ST. PATRICKS DAY parade & road race would have been a clue but no. I hate being so busy with school & such...it throws me so out of the loop of things. NOW...I have to sit around & listen to everyone at work talk about this amazing game I haven't even caught on sportscenter yet!
..::Good one Frankie::..

Today...

I hung out with Josh.
He was my 2nd boyfriend (and yes I know this pic isn't the best of him, it's old, but he kinda looks like a creeper in all the ones I have on my comp) but we didn't really break up on bad terms so we've stayed friends. We went approx. 2 or 3 years without talking because well according to him I kind of disappeared. I guess I can be a little good at that. But I'm gonna be honest, he couldn't have been looking that hard...my family, unlike me, is pretty stable & easy to find but whatev! No biggie.
He's kind of a rapper. He's the skinny white boy who does a lot of the rapping in the beginning.

He used to write some pretty good stuff and I'm sure he still does. He used to write some pretty good stuff for me and in a round about way I'm pretty sure he still does lol.
Anyways I had fun. We saw Tyler Perry's Madea goes to jail. It was good. Kinda funny. His mom made Tacos. They were yummy. His dad's leftover birthday cake was amazingly good. I'm a fat kid and yes, I also had Coldstone yesterday with Margaux. What about it?! Anyways we didn't really hang out that long because his lame ass was sick. Eh, it happens. Really that's not the point of this post.
The point is-originally we were supposed to go play basketball yesterday but somebody ended up having to work late. Then today when he got in touch to get together he said 'eh courts are probably wet huh? wanna do something else?' So what this comes down to to me is he's scared. Oh yes Josh, that's right, I know right now you aren't aware of this blog yet and you probably won't be for quite a while but, I'm sure someday you will stumble upon it and you will see how I am telling the world that you are terrified that I am going to embarrass and own you on the court like I did the first time we hung out years ago. I'm keeping count now, of how many times you avoid it. You are up to at least 5 at this point considering the few times I snuck out to the Woo to visit, you always avoided playing. So we will see when you finally man up and play. Stop being such a wimp! :) Just sayin.
Oh and P.S.>>When you do lose I don't want any nonsense about your arms hurting because of all the BS pushups you've been doing! Puh-lease!

Found it!

This is Nikki's wonderful bomb on Rock of Love Bus. Please proceed to enjoy as I have. And I'm sorry it's the best I could find & I know the lettering is a bit annoying.

City Year...

I am currently filling out an application for this program called City Year. It's a year of volunteering in a school in an inner city where attendance and grades are low.

The biggest difficulty I'm having is with deciding what city to apply to. The locations they have are Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, Columbia, Columbus, Detroit, Little Rock,  LA,  Louisiana,  Miami,  New Hampshire, New York, Philadelphia, Rhode Island, San Antonio, San Jose,  Seattle, and DC. I'm not sure if I want to stay close to home or get away. So I've narrowed it down to Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, and New York. I would have gone for something warmer like Miami and LA. I would LOVE to do one of those but I'm afraid that too many people will apply to those places and I'll have much worse odds there than a colder not so 'vacation' spot. Chicago & Philly would be the farther choices and Boston & New York would be the closer choices. Since I'll only be living on a stipend (which will probably be only $200 a week) I figure it may be smarter to stick close to home. New York is VERY expensive (Duh) so I'm really really leaning towards Boston. It's close enough I won't miss out on anything with the Fam and I think my odds applying there will be pretty good. Thoughts?

FINALLY Slumdog...

After at least a month of telling people I wanted to see it. After a month of hearing I haven't heard of the that movie. After it winning 8 Oscars...finally, Finally, FINALLY...on the 3rd I saw it!
On the 3rd I FINALLY saw Slumdog Millionaire. I LOVED it. I'm not gonna lie...I want to go see it again :) . 100% a new favorite. It is now #2 on my 'love story' movie list. Right below... The Notebook
I'm pretty sure nothing can ever top this one. Simply because it's probably the first love movie I ever really liked. Not to mention all the memories it triggers....yeah we're not gonna mention those :). It also lands right above...
Twilight DUH! Yeah I know I've already blogged so much about this movie and haven't even mentioned The notebook or Slumdog but I feel the relevance of Slumdog makes it a million times better than Twilight but that's just me.

It's creepy...

all the coincidences between Margaux and I...here's the list-->

1. Art class in high school- discussing how we feel about the tattoos we got the year before- telling people how we like them but were a little iffy simultaneously said 'I don't like mine when I'm naked' our whole table agreed we spend way too much time together (just so you know we never even discussed being iffy about them)

2. We both only had our first cars for about 3 months before we totaled them.

3. Within a month after getting her 2nd car Margaux's muffler broke....within a month after getting my 2nd car the pipe to my muffler rotted out. They were both standard civics.

4. I got a flat...three weeks later she got a flat.

5. She slightly rear ended someone...a month later I did the same.

6. One day while backing out of the parking lot when we worked for a radio station, I had been arguing with someone and forgot I parked by the dumpster. When I backed out I backed right into it. A few days later I was on the phone with Margaux while she was complaining about something green on the side of her car. She told me she thought someone scraped against it pulling out and their paint got on her car. I said 'are you sure you didn't back into a dumpster somewhere?' 'no'-- a few days later she admitted she backed into the same dumpster. Silly girl trying to fool me.

7. Finding out we both liked twilight...that's the one i tried to hide.

8. Latest one happened today when we found out that FF lives basically on the same block as her boyfriend. WEIRD! Really, what are the odds?!?!

That's all I can think of right now. There's more I can't remember right now.

Reality- On a bus not in a House

So I have this horrible obsession with reality TV...okay not so much an obsession I just always have the TV on while I'm doing homework, cleaning, facebook stalking, or blogging and well that's usually Sundays when they have a million reruns. I really only catch about 5-10 mins of each episode but that's all you really need with those shows right? and Best Week Ever will catch me up if I miss anything good anyways!
One of the shows I've followed is Rock of Love with Bret Michaels. This season they took it on the road so whatever girl he ends up with will be fully prepared for his life, but let's be honest. Bret is never finding someone to settle down with.
So Episode 1 we meet all the girls and my favorite for the winnings is Brittanya.
I think she's really cute. A lot of girls can't really pull off the sleeve tats they get but I think she does nicely.
Also I love her dimple piercings. I would never get them but they're adorable on her.
Now this one, Constandina, not sure why she's here. She's not Brets type and she's not really an actress or anything along those lines (that I know of) she's just...odd...and I usually like odd but, no, not this one. She can go.
I love this one...Nikki aka DJ Lady Tribe.
I wish he would have kept her around just because I bet she would have been insanely entertaining. First she gives some insane reason for getting her implants. Apparently it was to keep her out of jail or something. Um okay...and then when it's time to take her picture she announces she wants to do a rap for Bret. Aside from the rap being horrible, which aren't things like that always horrible on reality TV?! Anyways she proceeds to read the lyrics off a paper that says Herpes and Gonorrhea instructions.
I know a lot of these things are staged but really I don't think you can fake being as out of it as she was. Also I believe the producers let the ones like this just dig their own grave. They just put it a good order for us! Anyways I'm going to youtube to see if I can find a clip of this because if you haven't seen it you need to, sorry I thought it was hilarious.
